Peptide Reconstitution (How to)

A small clear glass vial with a silver cap.

What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, which are the fundamental building blocks of proteins. Containing anywhere from 2 to 100 amino acids, they act as critical chemical messengers in the body, directing cells to perform specific functions like repairing tissue, regulating hormones, and managing metabolism.

Why do them come in powder form?

Peptides come in powder form (lyophilized or freeze-dried) primarily to maximize stability and shelf-life. In a liquid state, these delicate chains of amino acids quickly degrade and lose their biological activity. Removing the moisture preserves their delicate molecular structure, making them safe for shipping and long-term storage.

Roconstitution of peptides?

Reconstituting a lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide involves dissolving the powder with a sterile solvent, usually bacteriostatic water. Always use sterile technique to avoid contamination. Slowly inject the solvent down the inside wall of the vial, and gently swirl it until the powder dissolves—never shake the vial.

Why are peptides so popular?

Peptides have surged in popularity because they power blockbuster weight-loss and diabetes drugs (like Ozempic and Wegovy) and are heavily promoted by wellness influencers as "hacks" for anti-aging, muscle growth, and rapid injury recovery.

How to reconstitute 5mg powder to 5-1ml injections

Take a 1ml syringe and fill with bacteriostatic water from clean sterile vial. Make sure to wipe the top with an alcohol pad for at least 5 seconds before inserting needle. Do the same with the peptide vial. Slowly plunge the bacteriostatic water into the peptide vial. Peptides are sensitive to breaking down. Do this 5 times.

If the peptide vial is small only use 2.5 ml in the 5mg vial. This mean that for every .5 ml that is pulled from the peptide vial, 1 mg of the peptide is now 1/2 of the 1ml syringe resulting in 5- 1mg injections with only .5 in each syringe.
